Customs & duties

QDo I need to do anything for customs?

No — nothing at all. Parcels to the United States clear customs automatically; if any duties or fees are due, the carrier collects them on delivery. Just make sure your address and apartment number, if any, are correct.

QWill I be charged import duties?

The United States no longer has a duty-free threshold for imported parcels, so import duties and fees may apply to your order. Any amount due is collected by the carrier on delivery — there's nothing you need to do in advance.

QCan I order tea and food items to the United States?

Yes — our teas and dried lemon products can be imported for personal use. We take care of the export paperwork on the Japan side.

QMy parcel seems stuck — what should I do?

Check the tracking link in your shipping email first. If nothing moves for several days, email us and we will investigate with Japan Post.

Shipping

QHow long does delivery take?

We ship by Japan Post EMS express from Yamaguchi. Delivery usually takes 2–5 business days after dispatch (excluding customs processing). You will receive a tracking number that works on both Japan Post and USPS.

QCan I collect from a pickup point?

EMS parcels are delivered to your address. If you miss the delivery, USPS will provide redelivery or collection options.

Returns

QCan I return or exchange items?

As our products are food items, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. If your order arrives damaged, contact us with photos within 7 days of delivery and we will reship it free of charge.
